Christmas Time!

December! We are in this special season once again, a season of joy, of peace. The entire world is getting ready to celebrate Christmas and to welcome New Year. After all, both are great occasions for everybody. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind! Jesus is the reason for the season.

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus and reflect on them. Jesus brought a new religion based on love and the vision of a God who is full of compassion and forgiveness; a vision of doing everything with a positive mindset & from a place of love.

The essence of christmas includes the giving of gifts. Everyone loves receiving gifts on Christmas. In many countries, children eagerly for the gifts of Santa Clause will bring for them. They also hang stockings or socks on Christmas Trees believing that it will filled with goodies by Santa Clause. Christmas dinner is eaten in th Christmas Eve, together with the whole familit eating "Noche Buena".

Christmas is best enjoyed when isnt centered on decorations, gifts, but on love. Love is the true essence of christmas. Christmas is about having a qualoty time with family and friends.;its about cherishing every moment and celebrating the love you share to everyone.

Equality!

The issues of, religious and non-religious beliefs or teachings about, and the attitudes of religious and non-religious people to: the status and role of women in society and religious communities, including reasons for differing attitudes; the growth of equal rights and equal opportunities for women not only women but all of the people in society, and the extent to which they are practiced in religious communities; gender bias in society and religious communities the status and role of those with a disability in society and religious communities, including reasons for differing attitudes; the growth of equal rights and equal opportunities for those with a disability in society, and the extent to which they are practiced in religious communities disability bias in society and religious communities.

According to Walker, JoGlobal Campaign for Education Handicap International 2013, More than 90 million children worldwide are currently living with a moderate or severe disability. More than any other group, these children are more likely to enroll late, drop out, or altogether miss out on school. For those in school, the poor quality and exclusive nature of the learning environment often exaggerate their situation, especially in low- and middle-income countries. While working to achieve universal primary education (UPE), the global community fails to focus sufficiently on educating disabled children. This report provides an overview of the state of education for this population, including case studies in 7 countries. The report concludes with a summary and outline of key evidence on policy responses and strategies to be implemented at the family, community, national, and international levels.

Let's just accept the truth that some people who has a disability do not have a chance to work because some people think that they can't do nothing or just they are useless. On the other hand we must have a equal right and equal opportunities in our community. And Likewise to the LGBT Community, that in having a work just set aside their gender instead think of what they can do.

Tamang Pag-aruga para sa Kinabukasan ng Bata

Image result for children's day

Mahirap maging isang doktor, arkitekto, o isang inhinyero.

Image result for pagpapadede

Image result for pag-aaruga hd

Books for the Better!

Most of the educated people do not like reading books, instead of reading in their free time they prefer to have an hangout with friends or love ones or just wasting their time on the gadgets.

Image result for readingAccording to media.com, 26% of children who were read to three or four times a week by a family member recognized all of the alphabet; compared to 14% of children who were read to less often. The National Education Association also reported that children who were read to more often were more likely to count to 20 or higher, (60% of those who were read to compared to 44% who were not or read to less often.) more likely to write their own names, (54% to 40%) and were more likely to read or pretend to read. (77% to 57%) Those numbers are pretty steep, showing a direct correlation between reading and milestones. (milestones equal success for a child and often for the parent as well.) In fact, children’s academic success aged 9 and 10 can be linked to the amount of words they hear from birth through the age of 3. But yet, the National Education Association reported that in 1999 only about 53% of children aged 3 to 5 were read to every day by a family member.

Image result for readingIt has been proven that children who read better, preform better in school and have a more active imagination, leading to a larger world and more possibilities for success. My mother taught me to read before I enter preschool.Even in classes that were not my strong suit, being able to at least read the material well and understand it to the best of my ability often saved me. But, you probably don’t want to read about one person’s story, because everyone is different.

Educators have said for years how important reading is for students success which is quite true. However, it is more that. Reading is important for life success. The more you know, the smarter you grow, so pick something up and read!

Second Quarter (Reflection)

During our Grade 10 ICT, second quarter, I have learned a lot of topics. First is the internet access and it’s components. The parts of a web browser and how it works. The URL’s and its parts. Second is the HTML tags and how to create a HTML file which I enjoyed so much, we have a lot of exercises and activities regarding this topic. We also discussed how the tags will be written and its function in HTML. Internet can really change our lives. Until now we are still using the blog as we post our insights about the different month theme such as the science month, United Nations month and the teachers’ day. These are just some of our lessons and activities that I have learned  and created in our second quarter ICT 10.

Everyone has problems to face but as a student one of the challenges that I have encountered is to encode HTML because it was my first time and I do not have any idea about these. It was so hard for me as a student.

Moving on, I will be sharing my ideas about  these topics and those knowledge that I have gained. So in our ICT 10, Second quarter id good and interesting and so with the two more quarters.

Technology

Image result for technologyWe are all aware that this year’s science month celebration theme is “WAVEFRONT: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements”. Last September, there are different activities science club officers are the ones who leads this activities. So, here are some of my insights about the theme.
Image result for technologyThis era, we know that students don’t use their phones or any technology properly. So here, technology is very important in the field of education. This is one of the strategy that teachers using in teaching students. As I observed most of them are already using projectors and laptop for teaching which makes it very convenient than using a manila paper in teaching. Now, students are more active in discussions. This technology makes our life easier.
We have to explore more about technologies. Discover your potentials in technologies and activate new knowledge.

Profession

Teachers are the second parent of the students. They are somewhat like a good role model to the student and they also give us inspiration. The love of a teacher cannot be replaced.

Image result for teacher
There are a lot of profession from doctors down to carpentry but of course they all achieve this profession from the help of our beloved teachers. Because without them of course they will be no one, no profession at all. Teachers makes us bloom because of the knowledge that they have given us. We must be thankful because teachers will help us through our journey, they help us until we graduated.

October the month of teachers. I would like to say thank you because you, my teachers didn't left me all throughout my journey. Thank you very much.

RESPECT!

In this world there are different countries, different culture, and different traditions and there is just this one goal, to be a successful country.

Image result for human dignityIn the United Nations Month with the theme "Coming Together With Those Furthest behind an Inclusive World of Universal Respect for Human and Dignity", well this theme only focuses in the respect of human ng dignity. Everyone needs to be respected and no one should be disrespected even if we don't have the same skin color, language, and culture. Everyone have the right to do what they want. We all know that in respecting every human and dignity has no age even the new born baby should also be respected. We, humans have the right to fight for our rights.

Resilience of Filipinos

Anyone born, raised and educated in the Philippines instinctively knows what really a weather is. It's a cycle we live in every year- wherein Philippines is a disaster prone country or area because it is in the Pacific Ring of Fire.

Image result for resilience of filipinos against disaster
Filipinos resilience can be measured in the disasters that are coming in our country which is a bad problem that happens. We are used to suffer 16-24 typhoons, earthquake and even volcanic eruptions, through a year. Floods damage the whole city and communities everywhere. And the year, we have to start and rebuild, to find reasons to survive and thrive. Always look for what's next, in terms of what we can do to humanities, relief operation, reconstruction of communities and buildings that takes a year.

Filipinos and Filipinas born, bred and raised, to continue to live out our cycle of loss, rebuilding, and adversity. Most hardworking living our families to find ways to help our community rebuilding. Everyone will note- "Philippines Resilience and Faith" is how we deal to disasters or calamities every year.

Reflection

During our Grade 10 ICT, first quarter, we have discussed a lot of topics. First things first is the history of internet wherein I have discovered when and who discovered internet, and those who have a contribution about this things. Second is the definition of internet and its components, and how web server and web browser work together, this days internet in one of the sources wherein we search for something. Internet can really change our lives. Third are the internet architects that have a big contribution in internet either National or International. Forth is about the search engines, there are techniques to make the result even lesser like, Phrase searching, Boolean logic, Pseudo-Boolean logic and the Term weighing. Lastly is about blogs which I really discovered a lot and learned how to post on internet. There are advantage and disadvantage of blogs to students. These are just some of our lessons that I have learned in our ICT 10.
Everyone has problems to face but as a student one of the challenges that I have encountered is to post a blog because it was my first time to post a blog and I do not have any idea about these. I address it to my readers because I worked hard for it, I gathered more information that I could put it to my blog.
Moving on, I will be sharing my ideas about these topics and those knowledge that I have gained. And if will have again the idea to publish some why not? Because all of these are for my readers. So in our ICT 10, First quarter is good and interesting and hoping for the next quarter will be good and interesting as the first quarter.

Reaction Paper

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was set to deliver his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 23, 2018 at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City Metro Manila, Philippines. He deliver a speech of his accomplishments and his plans about our country.

Image result for SONA

He focused on desire for genuine and meaningful change for the people but some of this are not. One of this is this: "Your concern is human rights. mine is human lives", which has a positive and negative sides. Human lives, yes, it is your concern but why do people just kill those drug users and dealers without knowing or without giving a chance to change their selves. How about the human rights? which we need in our country.

I do prefer to the legislation of contractualization, here in our there are this OFW's who only work for about 2 years and when they come back, it's hard to get a job again, you have to consume a lot of time go get a necessary and a nice job. Especially if you were the one who is working for your family, to buy their basic needs.

Even though some people prefer or not in those programs but for me as long as it's for the betterment of our country just do it. I just hope that in this those concerns and programs will be accomplish.

Letter to President of the Philippines

24 July 2018

HIS EXCELLENTLY RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE
President of the Republic of the Philippines
MalacaƱang Palace, City of Manila
Philippines

Dear Mr. President,

Good day! I had never written a letter to a president before but I am honored and blessed that I have an opportunity to talk with you Mr. President.
Its been a year since you were elected to be the president of our country, Philippines. And because of you there are a lot of changes happened in our country within a year. Important implications for the human rights of the Philippine, extrajudicial and summary killings, I am concerned that your campaign rhetoric often advocated the killings of “criminals” and drug dealers. In cities across the Philippines, there are near-daily media reports of summary killings by unidentified attackers, often involving gunmen on motorcycles. Many of these killings are linked to local politicians, members of local police forces, and guns for hire contracted by local politicians or criminal syndicates. Police rarely make any arrests related to these attacks. In this extrajudicial killing, I encourage you to bring energy to protect and promote for human rights in everyone in the country.

Thank you for reading my letter Mr. President, I would appreciate the opportunity to speak my opinions on human right issue here in our country.

Respectfully yours,

Lynnette Kyla Alonzo
